Okan is an internationally acclaimed creative leader with a background at world's leading agencies such as Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, Droga5 in New York, Wieden+Kennedy in Shanghai, and 72andSunny in Los Angeles. He has led creative projects for major clients such as Nike, Google, IBM, and BMW. Later, Okan transitioned to the client side with Supercell, a prominent mobile gaming company, and became a client to the agencies he once worked with. Here he worked, embedded in a team of marketers, to identify creative opportunities and lead the agencies in crafting groundbreaking creative. He also worked closely with game developers to create gaming products that can market themselves.
Observing a disconnect between the objectives of the gaming industry and the tactics of its agencies, he launched an in-house agency at Supercell. This agency combined top-tier agency talent with extensive knowledge of the gaming community and fan-building expertise, crafting innovative campaigns for Supercell games such as Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, and Hay Day, along with the highly anticipated new releases.
Throughout his career Okan has won every major industry award and was named amongst the top ten creatives by One Show in 2014. He’s a long-time New Yorker, a US citizen, and is currently based in Los Angeles. After hours, he is a student of sketch & improv comedy and can be found writing and drawing for his instacomics series @DorkMatters.
